Karela Onion Fry or Kakarakaya Onion Curry

Kakarakaya or Karela
or Bitter Gourd 3 medium size
Onion 2 small sized
Garlic 3 cloves
Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon
(adjust accordingly)
Coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon
Oil 5 teaspoons
Salt as needed

1. Wash bitter gourd and take the water off and wrap them in a clean towel.This will drain the any little water from it.

2. Cut karela or kakaraya them into small pieces. Cut onions and galic into small pieces.

3.Heat a pan and add oil and put the onions and garlic.

4. After the onions turn translucent. Add the karela or kakarakaya pieces to it.

5. Mix the curry in between and salt,tumeric and coriander powder.

6.After the curry is cooked add red chilli and switch off the stove.
