This can be used as curry powder and eaten along with rice.

Peanuts or groundnuts or palli 1 cup
Red chillies 7
Tamarind 3 inch piece
Garlic (optional)
Salt as needed

1. Dry roast peanuts / groundnuts and red chillies until the peanuts turn to light brown color.

2. Switch off stove and add tamarind pieces. The hot peanuts will make tamarind soft and it will be easy to grind. After the peanuts cool.In a mixie or food processor add peanuts, red chillies, tamarind and salt.

3. Make it into a soft podi. It can be used for 2 months.
